Battle for Tidestone scenario is now a team game, 3 players vs 3 players

New Map: Orcs vs Humans

You can set your country in the Options Dialog. Country is visible when viewing a player and will soon be visible on the Leader Board.

All cities now start as neutral in the non-scenario Sumerian City-States map.

New scoring option: None. Points are still taken from dead beats.

Losing a capital is recorded in the game log.

Advanced Leaders rules changed: you cannot attack with 7 or more armies unless you have a leader.

Placed army stack limit. This stack limit is only used in Place army games during the first turn.

Armies are not awarded in the first turn of a game (second turn for Placed games) for holding continents or more than 11 territories.

Norman Invasion map has been updated.

Skip turn button.

You can show territory names of only the territories for which you have a card. Idea courtesy of nicwilliams.

You can search by game status when searching for games by player name.

If you take a player's capital and that player has at least one card, then you also capture one card.

New map: Vietnam War. A four player scenario is available for this map.

New map: Italy (13th Century).

New map: Pacific (WWII).

New card option: Constant. 6 armies are always rewarded under this option.

You now have the option of placing armies during turn 1. In this mode territories are initialized with 1 army, you can only see your own armies during turn 1. Each player is given 30 armies, a number which eventually will be configurable.

Added 6 player scenario to Xulonia. Card names will appear bolded if you own the territory.

Leaders may be redeployed three turns after they were defeated.

Your team score is now used when joining team games with min or max score limits.

Click the "Show Names" button in the play game screen to toggle on/off the territory names.

New map: Xulonia

You can select your preferred language in the options dialog. You don't have to select language prior to logging in.

French translation is now available.

Click on the little Italian flag to play the game in Italiano. Molto piacevole!

You can now resign from a game when there are only two players remaining after the 5th round.

Leaders (units with +1 to highest die roll) are now an option during game creation.

You can set players as your friends in the Players dialog. If someone is set as your friend then they can see if you are online. You can also make your contact info available to just your friends.

Under options dialogs you can show your contact information (email and instant messenger) to no one, your friends or all players. The default is no one.

New map: Europe: WWI. This map features sea territories and a 7 player starting scenario set in Spring of 1940.

New map: Middle-earth. This map features strongholds, territories that defend with +1 added to highest die roll.

Classic map now has a starting scenario. It is configured for a 6 player single player game.

New fortification type: Bordering. This option allows each player to make unlimited movements of armies between countries that share a border. Each army may only be moved once per turn.

Starting order is now random.

You have to use Firefox to see the new army graphics and to use drag and drop for attacking and fortifying. There are technical issues with Internet Explorer.

New map: Battle of Brooklyn. This map features drag and drop in the Attack and Fortify stage. It also features new army graphics. Both of these features will be coming to all of the maps.

Do or Die will not reduce the attacking country to 1 army. It will keep attacking as long as the attacking country has 4 or more armies. Advance all option allows you to skip the Advance phase.

New turn time limit: 18 hours. Replaced classic map graphic with classic variant map graphic.

Replaced hovering over player name for stats with a stats tab.

Premium members can write a short comment when creating a game.

All players can set minimum or maximum score limits for players when creating a game.

All of your previous games can now been seen under Completed games tab.

New scoring method: score is received for each player eliminated when they are eliminated, not at the end of the game.

Do or Die button (attack until target country conquered) is working. If you lose while performing a Do or Die attack, then the results of the last round of combat are displayed.

When a teammate is auto-eliminated (from skipping turns), one of the surviving members of the team receives the eliminated player's countries.

Turn duration of 15 minutes is available.

You now get your two bonus armies for owning the country when playing a set.

You can pause games.

Fixed issue with refreshing the map data that resulted in not being able to attack countries in some situations (usually when players attacking simultaneously). Fixed issues with surrendering.

You can configure the amount of missed turns when players are eliminated. In preparation for configurable turn time limit, you now see the turn limit in the join/active game screen.

Reduced login time.

You can now see how many cards each player has and the value of the last set (for escalating) on the game page.

Updated active game list to include turn time remaining.

New map added: Europe.

Fixed bug with attacking neutral countries in team games. If you were asked to relogin while attacking, you've seen that bug.

Fixed all issues related to auto-filling the attack to country combo box

You select a country to attack from and the game filters your targets to those that share a border.

Double click on a game in your active game list to open it. Going to add next game/previous game in the play game screen. Beefed up leaderboard.

Nasty bug in the updates from yesterday have required a DB restore. Game rounds should be updated so players won't miss turns. Roughly 25 games created after the db dump will be gone permanently.

The last player to move in simultaneous game round cannot be the first player to take a turn in the next round.

Attacking an allied country that has 1 army always produces victory. Skipped turn emails now sent to players who have not yet completed a game. Purple/Orange color fix for 8 player.

Scoring is now divided between individual games and team games. Previously, finishing a team game counted to your individual total. Team game scoring is now a blank slate, everyone at 1000 pts. See help dialog for more info.

Leaderboard is functional (barely). Always helps to know who is winning. Challenge the leaders and take their points!

New map added: Montreal.

Fixed a number of issues with surrendering. Performing a surrender was a good way to break a game. Fixed an issue with team turn processing if an entire team was skipped.

Fixed adding private games. Added locking on round processor to prevent multiple updates in a single round. Game log now shows what code ended the round.

Synced clock with GMT. This will have a major effect on existing games. Lose 12 hours.

The turn generator appears to be back to working. I recently refactored major parts of it in the past couple days. This resulted in many regressions, hopefully all fixed.

Scoring updates. No points awarded for players who were auto-eliminated or surrendered. Auto-eliminated players lose score.

Fixed counting skipped turns in team games.

Switching between the smaller and the larger map now works.

Message icon will now appear red if you have an unread message. Fixed bug where games were not completed even if all players were dropped.

Fixed self-fortification bug. Fixed team games so the turn iteration is working after round 1.

You can now surrender in the first 3 rounds of a game if the game has more than three players and at least one player has skipped a turn.

Victory condition checks were added to the End Fortify code. A number of games that should have been resolved were not. To resolved those games, you should just need to perform an end fortification.

Non-completed games that you have been eliminated in do not count to your total of four Active/Inactive games.

Email notifications of your first turn in a game are working.

Killed the in game footer. Wouldn't float properly in firefox when using scrollbar.

Clarified turns in the help dialog: "Each players gets one turn per round. Players are allowed a period of twenty-four hours to complete each turn. Once a player clicks the Start Turn button, the player is allowed one hour to complete the turn phases."

Major rework on the turn and round processor. Team and single player sequential games appear to be basically working. Needs a lot more testing.

Resolved UI fortification issue, when forting a game with non-Unlimited, the UI wouldn't update after the fort to tell you that you are done.

New maps are coming! I have several maps in the late stages of preparation that should be playable shortly.

Client side optimization. Reduced number of server trips allowing for very speedy deploy/attacks/fortification. The site really smokes now compared to prior code.

All around server-side query optimization has very much increased performance. Everything loads much faster now. In some cases reduced number of queries for some screens from twenty to three.

Server logging and memory configuration. Going from three users to five hundred will do wild things to the default Apache installation. Who knew log files would just be allowed to grow unchecked?
